Before a lifting workout, I’ve started a new habit of climbing my 27-story building at a good two-stair-per-stride pace … twice. At the top, some guys were coming down from the roof with drinks.
“You climbed this whole building?”
“Yup … and now I’m going to do it again.”
“That’s crazy man! What are you training for?”
“Life.”

I live on the 23rd floor of a 27-story building. So if I walk up to the top of the building, go back down, and then up again to my floor, that’s 50 stories scaled upward. Goal:
I can get this, or close to it. Abs in the end are a genetic crapshoot, but this is basically my body type plus a full-time Hollywood personal trainer (and well-chosen lighting). All about will.
Also I get a weird kick when random photos like this still have EXIF. f/20? I wish my sensor were that clean. Another goal…

Week off
I’ve had the week off from the gym because of going back to school, which is about eight extra hours a day of work. i don’t feel bad about it since it’s just five days, until I read Valerie’s Tumblr. Girl is on fire.
With that in mind, I’m going to try to zoom through this slideshow and hit the gym very hard before class.
I am not going to get where I truly want to be without a squat rack and dumbbells only going up to 50lbs.

I took a rest day yesterday because I have a slight head cold and I want it dead, dead, dead by the weekend. But I’m on almost a week of my paleo(ish) diet and it’s not just working, it’s fantastic.
